If he shipped the 14th, when were you supposed to get them? Did you pay extra for shipping, to get them earlier? It doesn sound too bad to me, since its only been 6 buissnes days.

If the wheels do not arrive, I would fly there and bang on his door for 1500.00 + the air fare. Also contact the Police dept and make an arrangement to meet an officer and go to his home. Donot warn him about this, but do threaten to take him to court. Make sure you have all communication copied/ printed.

Pls do. Sounds a little like, "The check is in the mail," "Trust me, sweetie, you're the best I ever had," and other famous lies, but we'll keep our fingers crossed for you. Along those lines, the wheels may take a while to get there, but why don't you ALREADY have a tracking #? Good luck.

Why would anyone trust trust anyone on the internet and send a check to them?

Well, veilside350zTT has failed to produce the wheels or my $1500, so I am putting the legal wheels in motion. Do not buy from this person!!!!!! My lesson learned here is use paypal when buying over the internet

sorry to hear about your experience. the only people i buy things from off of the internet are people with a proven history of delivering products to satisfied customers. for example, i purchase the mount for the radar detectors to go on the rearview mirrors from a guy who had at least 100 people who praised his work and service. i was screwed over once on ebay for almost 2000 for a similar situation where i purchased a laptop from someone who did not ship it. luckily, i used paypal... so my credit card company did all of the fighting for me. lesson learned: stick to reliable sources with great customer feedback. the best place to read about feedback is this forum. every mod i have made on my car has stemmed from this forum, whether it be where i purchased the item from, to how i installed it. best of luck! i hate scammers!

You've still not included any date details, etc., so I sincerely hope you're not trashing a guy who's simply out of town on vacation or something. Anything shipped ground across the country is going to take some time, so it's hard to nod and agree that you've been stolen from unless your check was cashed in November or something.

I won't presume to take sides, but you wouldn't believe how many people have come here claiming to have been scammed when really it was just a case of poor communication.

In any case, good luck.

BTW, if you're still on the market for a nice set of Track Ray's w/ tires, let me know. I might be able to hook you up at a reasonable price, and folks in the mid-A forum section (I hope ) will vouch for me.

That's really too bad. I ordered a set of wheels from NY and we did COD....then I shipped my stock rims off to someone on the board....Everything was fine.

Port Orchard isn't very far from me, prob about 45mins. You should definitely call the police and take the person to small claims court. At least you used a check, so you have a paper trail.

Sounds a little sketchy to me. The guy won't give any real details but asks for advice.

There are two "guys" me and the original poster. He said he shipped my bumper cover on 12/14. I should have received it by now. He is not responding to emails or PMs. The other "guy" still has not received the rims he bought. Enough detail?

Yep. I already have a copy of the cancelled check, including his signature and bank account number.
