Default Possible Tranny Problems HELP!!!!!

I took my car to the track and did a ton of runs. I mean a ton. I let my car rest for about 2 hours so that it can cool down because me and the guys were gonna leave in 2 hours. It was about 19 degrees outside so I expected the engine to be pretty cool. I get inside, and the engine is still at normal operating temp. I drive home, and if I hit anything about 3000RPM, my tranny starts to make a noise. I wake up today, and every where I was going I heard the same sound. Do you guys have any idea of what it could be? Should I change out my short throw back to stock, and go get it check out at the dealer? Has this happened to anyone?

If your referring to the whine that the MT makes, this is a very common sound and there seems to be a dispute about what it is. Half the guys say its the gears and the other half say its the fuel pump. I think its the gears. Either way, no big deal.

I think it is most definately the gears or the clutch. It didn't do this before. Only now after I had driven it at the track. The sound only comes out once I go above 3000RPM. Do you think that I messed up the clutch or something else in the tranny?
