Anyways, I went to dealership to pick up my Z and sat down with the finance guy. Being x-mas eve and all, he said he could give me better rate if I financed through him. Well, turns out that the same credit union I had arranged a loan with was going to give me 4.15 %. Those bastards. Anyways, not all finance guys are bad. Except honda ones.

The best the dealer could do was 5.9 and then buy it down to match what my bank was going to give me I didn't see any point in doing that I would rather just deal with my bank if its going to be the same monthly than whatever bank he found.
Get pre approved before you go to the dealership. Call your bank, your credit union, and capitol one to see what you can get. If you do all the applications in the same week it will only hit your credit score once.
If you told him you already were approved for 4.25 he may have bought the rate down to beat it.
