Which gear to make a dyno run in, 4th or 5th?
I did 5th, but felt like 4th would have been more appropriate.
Has anyone done both, and if so, what was the difference.

There is really not much of a difference the main thing is to do follow up dynos in the same gear to compare results.
But 5th gear is the 1:1 gear so it will be the most accurate but 4th will not be far off within 5 HP or so. Some shops don't like doing them in 5th because you will be going 120+MPH and they get nervous.

I should be happy with around 240 in 5th then.
I was a lot more nervous in 4th gear, with my 93 RX7, T78 screaming to the limiter, and a fireball at the end.
It was also kind of fun watching people back up though.
I did 5th gear today cause 1:1 ratio is most accurate. I watched the digital speed on the computer display on my last run and it hit 143 from what I saw (had to watch the tach too so I knew when to let off). BTW, pulled 345 rwhp and 331 rwtq with my Greddy TT kit and test pipes. Its awesome, just awesome.
Yet another RX7 to 350Z change up, and yes I was also more nervous with my 93 TO4R RX7 on the dyno than my TT350Z
