I dont think they're a problem as they make for easier clean up. Just wipe it off the next day and youre done, way better than fabric seats.

You can't beat the good old days back in the 50's. Bench seat front and back. Stick shift on the steering wheel and the emergency brake handle under the dash. I've done it in both the driver and passenger side in my touring.

Both are uncomfortable but I would not ever, EVER do it on the driver side again. Period.
