250 is a little high for stock, though possible. ranges are generally from 220-245

all Z/s are different. I have seen them as low as the 220's up to the 240's I don't remember seeing any in the 250's stock. Most are in the 230 range. My baseline was 238

There are a bunch of guys in socal that recently did a dyno day. You can see the results in the Southern California section of North America. Basically, they found out that there is a major variation in wheel HP for stock Zs (as much as 15 or so), but most likely, the stock wheel HP should be from 235-240. One other interesting thing that they found out is that some guys who have a few engine/ecu and exhaust mods actually LOST horsepower, or were making less than other guys with pretty stock setups.....go figure.

230 - 255 is what I think. 247 - 255 are factory freaks, 236 - 246 are normal 350z's, and 230 - 235 are slightly underpowered 350z's.

How much does it usually cost to dyno a Z?

I imagine it depends on the area, but I'm curious.

It varies from car to car and from dyno to dyno. I took all the stock MT dyno results from a dyno results thread and averaged them - it came out to 236hp and 230tq.

Year hp torque
???? 230 219
???? 230 220
2003 230 230
2004 231 224
???? 233 227
2003 235 230
???? 236 228
2003 238 228
2003 242 240
???? 242 238
???? 243 240
2003 244 236

Average 236 230

Published 287 274

Obviously some charge more than other, but the type of dyno you use can influence the cost. I had mine on a dyno-pak (I think that's right) and it was about $80 for two pulls along with some print-outs and tuning suggestions

Those of you who baselined around 237-239. How did you guys break in your motors?

Normal driving for about 1500-2000 miles. By normal I mean no real heavy acceleration from a stop.
