Default How Long before you voided your warranty.

I still have temp tags on my 05 Z and i already have a compustar swss as alarm and an appointment to get custom leather next week. At this rate it wont be long before i get around to warranty voiding mods...So i just wanted to know how long some of you waited before you voided it. I also wanted to know would aftermarket suspension, wheels, rotors, or light engine mods void your warranty (since i have those on my to do soon list).

Do a search.....

Quick Answer... Mods only void your warrenty if they are the cause of the problem, which the dealership has to prove. Just putting them on your car does not automaticly void your warrenty.

Correct. And to clarify further: if a modded part has nothing to do with a problem, then the problem is still covered by warranty. For example, if you mod your suspension and then have engine or tranny problems, your warranty won't be voided.

For what it's worth, I started my mods immediately. I bought my wheels with the car, had a lightened flywheel within a month, high-flow cats right after that, intake soon after, and a huge stereo within just a few months.
