I watched the AutoRox Car Awards last night on SpikeTV. Out of all the categories, the 350Z was not nominated. The Corvette C6 won Car of the Year. This is just my opinion, but I think the C6 is too new of a car to win Car of the Year. Don't get me wrong, it's a great car, but the 350Z should have won because of style, handling and performance. And last of all...price. You get a lot bang for your buck. The C6 hasn't even been out for a year and I'm tired of hearing about already.

 

Who has the most ads on SpikeTV? GM or Nissan?

 

I caught the first two mins of it last night and changed the channel as soon as they started talking! Almost as bad as some of the crap on FOX. I wouldn't worry about the Z not being nominated, I wouldn't be surprised if the cars nominated were selected by a couple monkeys.

 

nissan doesnt 'pay' to advertise. Like Motor Trend for instance fords and honda's always win. That means Mazda's as well.

 

Nissan doesn't pay because they don't need to, they let the cars do the talking. I've only seen TWO 350Z commercials since it was released, they don't need to advertise obviously. WTH was up with "Tastiest Tuner"? The STi and Evolution 8 were on the list but not the 350Z (which is in the same price and power range).

 

I love the Z, but forget about it!
That 8 turbo chevy convertible was tip top.
Oh, and that 59 caddy eldorado convertible>?
I'd trade my Z in any day......

 

come on.. they had the Scion rolling box in the same "Tastiest Tuner" category.. I watched it all.. and regret every minute.

 

Yeah, I was hyped to watch it, was probably the worst show I've seen in a long time ahha.

That's the point exactly. Money talks, scion sucks.

 

I wanted to see it, but everytime I turned to Spike TV, I saw Kid Rock, threw up, and changed it back to something bearable

scion is only a tuner according to their marketing department. I can't believe people buy into that.

 

It's all about money. Your surprised? All of the people on that show suck up to it. How else can they keep their shows on the air? Pimp my ride, have you ever seen uglier cars? They're rolling juke boxes...who cares? And who do you know that had their car "Overhauled"? Only their friends get that privalidge. How do they pick the "victom"? Think about it.
We're real people. We don't care about "bling" and we wear belts to hold our pants up "above" our waist. We grew up at race tracks, hung around garages and gas stations, cruised the strip and raced on deserted roads. Sure, if we could afford a $500,000.00 car we would surely pick an exotic. We are the people that keep the car world going, not the ultra rich and not Hollywood. We're affectionate about our choices. We pamper our rides and are proud of them.

i'm not worried about it....that show was cheesy...first annual and hopefully the last show as well....

 

I actually like the Scion TC (?); the car. It looks like a mini G35c. For the price its an amzing deal. And all the TRD options you can get from the factory. Including a supercharger (soon).
