Z's Future?...
IMHO, from a corporate perspective, true future of the Z is to offer a redesign in 07/08, separating Z manufacturing platform from that of the Altima -OR- allowing Z to shed weight down to around 3000lbs. Power does not have to go up on paper, but engine should be tweaked so it is slightly underrated (around 250whp/250wtq), making for a happy and loyal customer. Next, lighter and wider wheels should be offered: 245s in front, 265s in rear, with several rim designs and materials as options. Seats should be improved -- lighter and better-forming. Interior materials should be made more resistant to scuffing. Rear visibility should be improved. Rear crossbar, taking up so much space in trunk, should be re-engineered to provide continuous trunk space. 8-speaker stereo should be standard (240W), 10-speaker optional (300W). Memory seats, adjustable pedals, all should be options. Sunroof should be an option, and hard-top convertible should replace the soft-top. Lastly, car should isolate exterior sounds better in the interior -- nothing fancy, just up to par with most other cars.
Oh, AWD could be offered, but I don't think that makes marketing sense, so I omitted it.
