Default To Those who have seen the Z in person

I was looking at some of the amazing pictures you have taken while the tour was in texas and I had a question about the Sill Kick Plates. It appears the show cars have black sill kick plates with an silver Z in the middle. These looked great. But, I know you can accessorize with aluminum inserts. Does the standard one look good or should I get the aluminum inserts down the road?

Thanks for any info you may have.

I looked at these pretty closely since I paid for the aluminum...I think the upgrade is well worth it.

If I get them I would wait until I had my Z, I wouldn't take a chance now of messing up the delivery date (whenever that will actually be).

To those of you who have seen the Z in person, do the black ones look good? And are those going to be on our production cars?

Buy the aluminum!!!

Those silver "Z" on the black one is just some kind of overlay and would get messed up really easy. The pre-production one's were already messed up!!!

Thanks BrianZ, I was hoping for an honest assessment of the standard sill kick plates.

Thumbs down

The black one's are seriously nasty. I forgot to mention those in RAI's "Interior Quality" thread the other day. If you haven't sat in the Z, you get down in really low and have to crawl out. The black sills in that Daytona 5AT were beat to death and definitely the cheapest plastic in the interior bar none.

I ordered the aluminum kick plates without a second thought and I'm very glad I did so.
