i would say bad prep work befor painting... or just not enough clear coat...?? i dunno.. tell him fill hole in and repaint.!!!!!!!

fill the hole, repaint. then if you are still down with the 350 emblem.. put it on after but dont tell them you are going to.

I think you should get a new one since they are willing to do so. Just tell them that you'll sell that one for them... real cheap to me?
