Drops dont really show that much on these cars. I have the nismo s-tune (shocks/springs) and people can only tell if there are two Z's side by side. .

I used the RSR springs. It was around .6" all around. It looks very good and its just enough drop to give me problems on moderate inclines. I dont know how some people go with the big drops. I could not do it.

Be careful over nasty speed bumps if you do lower it.

I say keep it, I think the stock suspension is great and you can spend your money on performance mods instead.

Even the 0.6" makes a noticable handling improvement, and less wheel-well gap looks better. Just be careful of body kits that are themselves lower than OEM. I negotiate speedbumps every day without difficulty, but my fascia is OEM, with the lip spoiler.

I plan on going 20 x 8.5 chome rims in the front and 20 x 10 in the rear. I seen this dude that had 20's on the Z and it eliminates the wheel gap pretty good being on 35 series tires too. Then the car looked freaking tight as hell. I'm going for show because nothing blings better than chrome rims on in the summer on a hot sunny day. Imma those rims on for the drag strips and put my stocks back on for days I autocross. So i'm sticking with my stock ride height.

From personal experience, I say drop it. I had my nismo 18s on my car with 40 series tires before i lowered it, and it really made the car look funny. Even if you lower it approx: half an inch, say with the tein springs, it makes a difference.
The most popular way to go is coilovers of course, and Nismo is our best seller.
PM me for more info, i'll help you out.

it depends on where you live and how many speed bumps, how high they are and how much of a inconvenice they are. If speed bumps pot holes and uneven roads bother you know the problem will be magnified once you lower your car.

The Gap is the same weather or not there 17" or 18" rims or even 19" for that matter... The problem is the lower the tire profile you go the more the gap seems to stand out.... It's also more noticable when you go with thiner spoke rims in my opinion anyways..

If/when I get my Z, I'm not lowering until I move out of where I live. Roads in Hudson County, NJ are horrible and the Z is as low stock as my current car is kitted and dropped.

Drop it.... its a cheap mod if you go with the TEIN springs... then you can always switch back to the stock springs if it didn't work out for ya without breaking the bank

i was planning only on getting 18" wheels and not lowering my car but after seeing the wheels on my car, i decided it needed a mild drop. i decided to get hotchkis springs. the fender gap is about a finger gap all around now so it's a perfect drop imo. not too low, not too high.

Definitely drop it. I put the Eibach pro-kit on my car, and I LOVE the look. These offer a .8 inch drop in the front and 1.2 inch drop in the rear. My car is properly aligned, and I have no rubbing at all. I had the Track Rays 18's on my car, and moved to 19's and I still don't rub, even though I have a huge offset. Here's a few pics.....
