be sure to keep us updated, I was under the impression that doing that would kill resale value, as well as weaken the paint. but I got my Z from gwinett place nissan, so I want to know how it works out for you.

Nissan got back with me concerning the orange peel situation. They have talked with my dealership Gwinnet Nissan and they are going to wetsand the vehicle and even give me a rental for the week. Thsi was a better option then repainting the car. Also I asked the Nissan Rep and he said Nissan has not offered any buy back programs. They only offer buyback programs when it is a mechanical issue not cosmetic. I will let you all know how the wetsanding job comes out. I am also putting in the sunset orange leather seats in my silverstone. Just in time to sell my Z and buy the G35 Coupe. I have to since I have a second child on the way and the back seats will come in handy. I test drove it yesterday and it feels like the same exact vehicle. The interior is a 100 times nicer and the seats are more comfortable, Z

Interesting you say that... Are you sure you're not kidding yourself? When I drove it I found the G35C to be a LOT slower, with more body roll, and steering that didn't react as quickly. The G35C also felt MUCH heavier, more than the 150 lbs it was. Also, visibility out front was worse than the Z, however rear and side visbility was better. As for interior appointments, the G is definately nicer, but the materials are still not higher quality than the Z, there's more plastic in the G than there is in the Z, which at least has real brushed aluminum.

Hrm, don't they have to strip off the clear coat to wet sand the orange peel out of the paint?

...or do you have a non-clearcoat color (I don't even know if Nissan does their paint process that way.)

Also, I checked out a G35c at the Seattle International Car Show this weekend. The back seat was useless for a real adult. I thought that the interior was roughly on par with the Z, there was just more STUFF.
