Double Z spotting in Ann Arbor
My dad was driving near Pinckney MI and saw two Z's out driving around together, a blue and a silver. The road he saw them on has a bunch of S curves on it, so he suspects it was one of the local car mags (perhaps C&D) putting the car through its paces. He said the car looks great. He didn't even realize it was a Z at first--he just said he saw a pair of fantastic looking cars. It wasn't until he turned around and followed them for a while that he realized they were Z's.
Now, for what it is worth, he is the proud owner of a '77 Toyota Celica, which was shaped very similar to the Datsun Z's of the 70's, so he is probably predisposed to liking it. But I think his exact comment was "the car is stunning--you made a great choice!".

Yah, the thing ran forever. 300K+ on one engine and still going. Not bad pickup for a 4-cylindar either.
If Toyota had a good sports car out there, I would probably get it. But the Celica is so underpowered these days.
