Default We are looking for interesting things to write about related to 350Z's

I got a new job duty at SportZ magazine. I am now the 350Z editor. Simply put, if you have anything you want to publish in the magazine related to 350Z’s e-mail me. We are interested in all types of articles such as:

1.Interesting and/or funny stories related to 350Z’s.
2.Stunning pictures of 350Z’s and interesting captions.
3.Half to full page articles on 350Z’s that merit enough interest. This would most likely be featured in the “Shifting Gears” section of the magazine.
4.Full 3 to 4 page featured articles of exceptional 350Z’s. These types of 350Z’s would usually have extensive motor work, body and paint, or other modifications that would be of interest to most readers.

In addition, if there are any particular type of articles you would like to see related to 350Z’s, don’t hesitate to e-mail me and let me know what interests you.

Write me at wisener@sportzmagazine.com

Congradulations Jeff. As I stated in my reply to your survey I would love to see more performance parts reviews. How about an aftermarket header comparison, plenum comparison or brake comparison. How about an article on various ECU upgrades/reflashes. How about an aftermarket turbo comparison since you have already done the supercharger comparison. Basically for those who mod their cars any comparison of high performance products is a great way to evaluate what is out there.

How about a Z vs Z article.

Have the 350Z Enthu 6MT go head-to-head with a 350Z Enthu 5AT. Set-up various tests and have some good drivers drive both cars.

That would be interesting. Also might want to test the a 287hp 6MT model vs. a Track 300hp 6MT model and see what's changed as far as performance (driving...not just specs).

Guys, keep the feedback coming. As this thread builds, I will discuss it with the staff at the mag.

Being a 350Z owner myself, I love the comparisions as well. It is nice to see some of you feel the same. If we are going to do comparisons, lets discuss which ones are of the most interest to you.

Suspension Comparison. PERIOD!
I think there should be a comparison of coilovers on the same car same track, etc...

On many forums, AT vs MT debates go on all the time. My original preference was for the MT until I actually drove the AT. It would be interesting to see the driving performance differences between the two and maybe get on the spot feedback from various drivers.

I picture a Road & Track type shootout with at least three stock Enthusiasts Zs. You would need one 6MT and two 5ATs. One 5AT will run in Auto Mode and the other 5AT will run in Manual Mode. Have a group of proficient drivers run through a set of tests at least once in each car and record their performance and get their feedback on each car. Run sidebars on the specs of each and a point/counter-point discussion with expert drivers and car designers.

I've heard of other magazines running comparo between cars like the Porsche 911 Turbo and the Ferrari 360 in both auto and manual formats but I haven't seen one done with a 350Z.

That would be a great article and on the top of my list. I would love see how the Ohlins would do on this test.

How about .. tires, seats, short shifter comparisons ... ??!!!!

Have a Street Section.

What about a street drag racing section? People that drag race could get a pic or two, and a short/long statement of how the race went.

Or when there are meets, gtg's. Get pics and write what we/you all did.

Parts Test.

Have different parts dynoed and talk about how the mods helped or didn’t help the car. Like a good starter would be the two spacers. Have a b4 and after dyno of each spacer and see how they really stack up.

If you did this I would buy. How do we buy anyways?

Yes, its a good idea to publish articles about illegal things in your magazine.

I always like when magazines do installs. Like for example.... I think it was car and driver did an article " CHeapest way to get your Z to pull a G on the skid pad" that is just an example. Comparing products that were actually tested on a track.
