anybody lease a Z?
well due to my financial troubles, I think I might have to lease a Z instead of buy it out right. So please let me know what kind of rate are you guys paying for a performance version Z or touring.
I am looking to see if I can get competitive rates.
thanks!
Much appreciated.

Different country but hey, you never know, it might help.
I originally planned on leasing the car when it came in. The rate was 8.6% which I think is criminal. Then they upped the rate to 9.2% for a 48 month lease in Canada! In the end, I was able to secure some very good financing through a local bank and ended up not leasing and instead financed the car through that bank.

I think you will also find that the residuals are so low that the lease payments are not going to be much cheaper than purchase, I don't think you will see the 299 subsidized leases you see on other cars that the manufacturer is trying to move the lease payments on this will be around the 500 dollar and up range and with the low loan interest rates you might be just 100 bucks more by buying it. Just my 2 cents not firm numbers I worked out.
decided against the lease....
1) a six year loan will be close to the lease payments
2) I projected that after a couple of years, 6 year loan payments will match depreciation, so if you have to sell youll break even or maybe owe a little tiny bit...
3) I drive the Z so freakin much just cuz I love it sooo much, that I will prob. drive over 15k a year!
4) I couldnt see leaving my stereo install with the dealer in 2005.

Yep, I've purchased my pre-ordered Z... instead of going with the S.
Hope you get yours soon.

Since I have a company INC. i am looking to see if i will benefit by leasing and trying to research more.
Kewl, the S2000 is nice car, but sometimes it's just too impractical and not enuff low end torque.
Congrats on ur purchase.

I will receive my car in about 1 week according to the dealer. I will be leasing for business purposes. I can write off 80% of the lease; therefore the government is paying off about 1/3 of the car because I am in a 42% tax bracket. I will post the interest rate offered.
As backup, I applied for a regular 60 month loan with peoplefirst.com in case the dealer tries to screw me. Interest rate is 4.99% for 60 months, and no downpayment. I can still deduct the car payments but not as much as purchasing.
This is what my expensive CPA told me.
