Choose NISMO Accessories (installation not included)
Nissan USA's [Build your Z] now offers NISMO Accesories!!
although they state that installation is not included!!
"Choose NISMO Accessories (installation not included)"
Does this mean these accesories can now be financed directly into the unit's price?
In other words, I heard that dealers would only do 125% of the MSRP with "Perfect credit".

Tony, Jason? Have you guys heard anything about this, yet?
A few weeks back when I went to my local dealer, they got scared when I said I wanted ALL the NISMO parts included in my finance. They looked at me as if I wanted to run away with across the border once I got the car. Pathetic!
I really hope this changes that!! Saving all tuners a lot of headaches.

I don't know if they would be too crazy about that. If someone got 10k in aftermarket and defaulted on the loan I think that they would be taking a greater loss than normal.

You can certainly put it in the finance...or so the dealer i got my car from said i could.
If you order the parts with the car, they usually make a special "package price" that includes installation and what not.
I have also seen USED nismo z's for sale on the lot with full factory warranty!!!

I have not heard anything down the grapevine that really concerns this. We here at Performance have worked with custoemers in the past with financing in Nismo parts and the like into their new car purchases. I'm not in the new car dept. so I don't know exactly what the % is that most dealerships sell the parts for, but I do know that each dealership is different, so it's hard to say that one percentage applies for all dealerships.
Some parts are not legal, and a dealership may in fact may not be allowed to install a certian thing, such as a nismo cold air intake etc.. so that might be why it mentions install not included.
That's about all i can surmize from that........

I called Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation (NMAC) and asked them about this.
The representative told me she will find out and call me back.
If she doesn't do that today, I'll try again tomorrow.

Actually, I don't see any use for this program. If they're not going to leave off the factory parts and replace them with the NISMO parts then it's no different than the way things currently are.
When I ordered my Z, I asked about the NISMO exhaust. The salesman was glad to add it in but that was at list price. When we finally settled on my order, I had dropped the exhaust. The next day, I called the parts dept. manager and cut a whole lot better deal with him. All I had to do was call him when the car arrived and he'd get the exhaust. I had the cost of the exhaust and installation added to my final bill so technically it's being financed.
So even without this new program, you can currently buy a car and order NISMO parts from the dealer and they can and will add the price of the parts and install into your final price. They would have done the same thing with leather seats or any other dealer supplied add-on.

DavesZ#3, the problem is the top that each dealer/state imposes. The best thing you can get is 125% of MSRP.
If you add ALL the NISMO parts, plus intallation, this is more than that. That is why this change would be significant. If it is indeed covered on the finance charge.

Well, assuming that you're putting something down on the car, that increases that ceiling.
I'm betting it's a sales gimmick. Take the wheels for example, they're going to sell you wheels but you also need tires that fit to go with them. Are you going to be able to add the price of that into the final price too? Seems like it's not too well thought out.
