Default Trying to trouble shoot possible Tranny problem

I was driving home doing about 75-80, I go to pass this guy and all of a sudden the tack starts bouncing and it feels like I lose the tranny. It kicks back in and I find any time I get it up to 3200 RPM it feels like she is going to quit..
I took it in to the dealership (This is a 2004 Performance model with 8,400 miles)
I explain the situation to the tech and they say they will have a look. At first I'm thinking its the engine, but hey, who knows.
The tech dcalls me later in the afternoon and said the only thing they felt caused a concern was my cold air intake was registering 123 when it should be 100.
I drive it home this evening and once again, after I have been driving for a while I go to acelerate and its like the tranny disengages and re-ingages. At one point I can barely go 30MPH. I limp the hurt pup home, but its ugly.

Here's the question, What the hell is going on???

I'd say its your CAI. I have no idea how but I do remember reading posts from other people where their cars just died on the freeway or something and it was all due to their pop charger.

Problems like this are why I'd never mod my Z. It runs just fine from the factory. Why F*** with it.

it sounds like he has an automatic z with a transmission issue. The cai problem just causes the car to stall out completly and i've only heard of the issue with manual transmission z's. If it were the popcharger problem the car would just die, not rev up.

edit: nevermind, i reread his post and i dont know what i'm talking about. I need to go to bed.

Ive had that problem...no mods. It did it once then it fixed itself.... left the stealership puzzled and has not done it again
