white Z looks insane.
I ordered a PPW Enthusiast and I can't wait to get it. I love white and I'm even more encouraged when people make fun of me for picking white. My first car was white and it really stood out. Plus, it was easy to clean.
I have to admit that the white looks pretty nice. There's a "clean" look to it. Since I am reordering, my coworkers have been pushing me towards the silverstone, but then again... it's my damn car.
This is the pic where I first started to rethink my Daytona Blue Z. This is the Japanese Z release event stolen from ascii24.com. With the lighting, this is at-least how dark the blue *should* look in sunlight (sure this is an indoor shot). I have always had a thing for the Audi Pearl White paint jobs as well.

Ever since my 1991 Super white 300ZX TT, I've loved white Z's.
However, one warning for potential owners. Look carefully at the color imbalance between the bumper caps and the rest of the body. Over time, the white finish on the non-metal surfaces such as the bumper and rocker panels becomes a dingy yellow.
You'll see this all the time with white Acura Integras and Porsche 944/968.

I don't like the PPW at all. I currently have an Alpine White Honda Prelude, and it's the best looking white I've ever seen......it looks like snow. It's absolutely pure. Put the two next to each other and the PPW looks like dirty snow...it's not a pure white. Must be the metallic fleck or something that gives it the yellow hue, but it just doesn't get it done for me, which is disappointing because if it was like my current white, I'd be all over it.

Most cars come in a slightly offwhite shade, where more trucks are true whites. There are a few true white cars you see all the time, Pontiac, Honda, Chevrolet in some models, etc, but especially on more expensive cars, true white isn't easy to find.
Just personal preference, and yes, I've see the white in both the Z and the G35C, and don't want it. I had thought if I went with the G35C, I would get white since I didn't like the blue, but I would now have to say I'll get the black if I go that route.

I agree here, as I've stated before. I personally like white-white, not the pearly or off whites.

Enjoy that black....and the inevitable hairline scratches and the never ending dust and dirt that go with it. I've been there, and black looks great when the car is new (provided the dealer's "detail" guy hasn't already scratched it up)...for about five minutes, then it's all downhill from there.

You can keep control of swirl marks pretty well with the right products, and keeping it clean is definitely a task, but worth it

The thing with the white cars I've had (and I've had several in different colors of white) is they never really look waxed and shined up like a darker car. There is only so much you can get out of them, no matter how hard you work on them.
If I get the Z, I'm going blue.

I do agree about the waxed look. White just doesn't have the mirror like reflections that darker colors do. However, I've never received as many compliments on how nice the color is than I have with this PPW white Z, especially when seen in direct sunlight....and I love the way it really shows the the shape of the vehicle. I had a black 93 300ZX TT, and a black 2002 Z06, and the color just seemed to swallow the lines...the cars looked like dark blobs.

my 2c
White waxes really nicely...stark contrast with glossed tires.
My nissan maxima yellowed on the plastic too, but I buffed the crap out of it with rubbing compound and the yelow came right off. Looked good as new.
