Color coded Wiring Diagram for stock stereo Anyone have it?
I plugged in the 95 nissan & up plug-in into my stock harness to attach to my Clarion stereo.. Wondering if everything is right. I'm getting a popping/Crackle sound when I crank my speakers, as i was going through the wires I disconnected my ground wire and my antenna, the radio still had power to it Not sure what other wire could be grounded to feed it the power to still be on or am i just wrong? My balance and fader work, maybe the diagram could help.
the only thing I know for sure is that there is a black with white stripe that is the negative for one speaker and right below that is the positive. (this is on the larger harness)
the other speaker has a RED wire right next to the B/W that is the NEGATIVE and right below that is the blue wire that is positive (dont remember the stripe colors). The rear speakers are on the smaller harness I think
hope that helped

Alright here's the colors for the large harness, not so much worried about the small harness your right there for the rear speakers. Alright here's how it goes from top left to right 6 going across the top, and 4 along the bottom
Gray*Orange w/yellow stripe*Yellow*Green w/white stripe*Red*Black
bottom row goes
Lime*Orange w/blue stripe*empty*empty*Green*White
Gray*Orange w/yellow stripe*Yellow*Green w/white stripe*Red*Black

Lime*Orange w/blue stripe*empty*empty*Green*White
I think we are thinking backwards from each other, and my picture may confuse you... but I am positive that the black and red wires are NEGATIVE. It has been mentioned before in modifications section that the usage of a red wire for the negative is retarded, but I did disassemble the harnesses at the door to trace the colors back, and found that the top row, black and red are the negative wires. below those two are the white wire which is the positive for the black wire, and the wire that you are calling green is the positive for the red wire. ( I called that wire blue.)
unless one of us is totally smoking crack, this is your answer
