I am just curious, when did the Track Zs come with 300hp?

2005. Track and 35th Anniversary Edition models got the 300 HP engine.

This year is when the released the new engine. Like said, its only it the Track and 35th Anniversary models w/ manual transmission IIRC.

Flipping out? Not really. Most people are like WTF, it has 13 extra hp but lost 14 ft-lbs of trq.
