Default DIE DIE's Z DIES!!!!!!!!!!

Well you might have read my other thread titled "I'm about to say **** NISSAN" I took my car in @ 8,500 miles cause it smells like burnt oil, and leaks like crazy.... They said the pulley key was off and snapped..the pulley cracked in 2 and broke the crank case!!!!! They don't want to mess with ripping the thing apart, so they are replacing the whole block... Hopefully it doesn't take too long...and hopefully it doesn't happen again

Yes I drive it hard, but practically a new motor after 8k....cmon nissan hopefully this was just a factory defect..oh and for those wondering, no they didn't give me any **** for my mods.. I have exhaust, intake and plenum..

Hmmm I wonder if they would let you keep the old motor, sounds like something you can tinker around in your spare time. At least I would heh.

Nissan will probably call for that motor to be returned so they can test it. Dealerships have to hold on to warranty replaced parts until the claim is paid.

My Z now has over 24k miles. I also drive it hard. No problems with the motor so far. You definitely have a factory defect.

I Don't think it matters how hard you drive your car during a 8K period, it should not be allowed to break down, definitly a factory defect...

Daaamn, sorry to hear that. The VQ is made to take a beating! I drive mine hard quite a bit, runs like a swiss watch. No problems with the engine!!! I'm sure yours was just a defective engine!

Drive it like you stole it!

Hopefully, the new motor you get will be broken in to your driving habits.

I'm still trying to push my motor to do 255 RWHP all stock by using my super secret method of breaking-in motors. (Secretly, I don't want DIE DIE's motor to out-dyno mine. )

^ sorry to disapoint you **** BTW- I have been trying to keep the racing down to a minimum...I didn't post this here, because it's pretty stupid of me....but I got pulled over twice in one night last week, (for 65 in a 35) (and drifting an on ramp) I somehow ended up with 2 warnings, so I think that my luck can only continue so far you know...?

btw F the 35th add motor... a few more ponies but less torque...I heard the 1/4 times are about the same...?
