Yeah, forget the 35th anniversary engine, there's not much difference in performance. Sorry to hear bout the engine man, but at least you get a brand new one right?
Good luck, hopefully you'll be on the road soon.

my swiss watch (rolex) runs about 10 seconds fast each day... automatic (mechanical) watches suck in accuracy compared to quartz... but i think they have swiss quartz too so maybe your VQ runs like that.

Yeah that is a ton of oil. My oil light went when i first got the car at 2200 miles. I seen the pressure on the gauge was low, but i assumed nothing could be wrong that soon on. I checked the dip stick and there was really nothing on it, ahhhhhhhhh!!!!! Then i consistently checked it and realized it was burning that much. Not Good! So dealer did 1000 mile test on it and it was burning that much. I couldnt believe it. Anyone else have this prob?

My mystery oil leaked turned out to be a cracked crank pulley. Only found that out because I was having the pulleys changed to UR ones, while the leak was investigated. Lucky, or what??

Your CRANK broke?

No crap, never thought of checking that. But luckily it wasnt the case. I have yet to be given a response on exactly what it was. Hoping for today.
