OK, I arranged to purchase my car, Touring, Sunset LeMans, the whole 9-yards minus the Nav, including Aero.
When I go to pick it up, I notice it has no spoiler, no aero package. This after being told my car was delayed while waiting on the aero package.
After talking to the salesman, he tells me that they are waiting on the aero and will send it to me to have my area dealer put it on. He seems to indicate there isn't any availability for it right now and as soon as they get some he will send it my direction.
So, has anyone run into this, or anything similar? I mean, it's not bad as I really am not all hung up on the package, but if I've paid for it I damn sure want it.

If you are not really interested, why don't you see if they can refund you the cost of the aero kit.

 

funny that they can build the complex cars faster than the aero kit, and they only have to build like 1 aero kit for every 2 cars.

 

I actually didn't order the aero kit....but they had a car just like mine with the aero kit that came in and asked me if I wanted it. I just had to get it when I saw it in person. Mine being nowhere in site also might have contributed to it too.

 

I'll bet the Aero Kit's are not made in house by Nissan but by a sub-contractor.. Who.. most likely can't fill the demand.. I really can't see how that tiny rear spoiler would make any difference for daily, commuter type driving..

Well it's good to know I'm not the only one.
As far as getting a refund on it, I think it would be more likely that I could fly to the moon in this car than pull a thin dime back from the dealer.
For me, spoilers and the such are all about looks. Sure you can run to the track numbers and aerodynamics etc. but in the day to day driving its just a little thing on the back that makes the car look a little meaner.

I ordered the aero kit seperate from the car (actually just the spoiler).. as my original pre-order car didn't have it purchased. We arranged for the dealer to order and install it upon delivery.

Car was delievered 11/2 and dealer had the spoiler in and on before I even picked up the car. I know they didn't have it in stock the week before the car was there either. So at least via that route, they were able to get one.

 

Whether you want the aero kit or not is obviously personal preference. IMO the whole thing about the lack of availability is people blowing smoke up your a$$. But I don't have any data to back it up.

 

I had the aero package added to my brickyard, he told me I was lucky I didn't get the Sunset color, those spoilers are the most rare right now. Wishing you luck on your spoiler quest!
