Do you actually know how to drift? It doesn't sound like you knew what you were doing.

I probably don't, but like many people, I like to think I know what I'm doing.

Just be more careful next time, okay? I wouldn't want a forum member getting hurt. I'd recommend going to a drift school or drifting event where you can practice drifting on a wide-open paddock. That's how I learned to drift! It's amazing how fast you can pick it up with the right environment and the right teacher!

Definitely, I've been wanting to go to one, but I can't get off work on the weekends.

Anyways, here are the pics of the damage:

Plus I definitely didn't puncture my tire, which is good, but I did bend the rim. I'm not sure about the power steering cooler either, I think I'm gonna need a new one. What do y'all think? (BTW: the body shop guy hasn't really gotten around to inspecting everything yet)

Ouch!!!

Sorry to hear that man. Good luck with the repairs. Just by the looks of it, your wheel has to be replaced. Some shops may say they can fix it but it's not going to be 100%. So just for safe measures & the money to fix the wheel, just buy a new one.

Guess someone thought they could drift cars like on GT4

Chalk this up as a hard, expensive lesson learned. Looks like a couple grand easy.

Get the Koyo Radiator.....the OEM one is almost 700 bucks. Also, a new OEM bumper will be the same price as a good aftermarket one. They both have to be prepped and painted. At least the damage isn't that bad. You could probably just fix it yourself. Don't get your insurance company involved.....they'll raise your rates. Think of increased rates for 3 years and then the price for new parts that you would have replaced anyway

it reminds me of those good old times when i was young (16) and stupid...had a new (00) mustang v6 back then, my 1st car... wrecked it due to my stupidity thinking im a badass driver with 8 month driving experience, racing y friends 1.8 turbo jetta with a chip and CAI and exhaust... hit a guardrail, 8 grand in damages =D, BUT i managed to drive it back home, with fron wheels facing different directions, one of them being a spare tire, since the stock rim had a 3" hole in it...lol...

Thanks, but we're still trying to figure out if I need another one or not.

If you leave the front bumper cover off, do you still have to mount a license plate?
