how many miles? auto or stick?
seems like a heck of a price.
Of course, they don't HAVE to sell it for that price, but if they want to earn your trust and business, they will. good luck. let us know how you make out.

Dealer gave me $21K for my 03 Base with 8K Miles. And it sold for $22500 the next day.

Don't take this the wrong way, i'm just not sure how to word it without sounding condescending, and i apologize in advance ... but what's yer point? I guess you are agreeing that $20K for a Touring is a good deal? When did you make your deal? Nice looking new ride, by the way.

Did they post the VIN in the add? I wouldn't be surprised if they claimed that it's not the same car & that the one in the add already sold..........

Bingo

Dealers love to use this tactic just to get buyers on their site.

if your trading a car in make sure you settle on a price before you show him that ad... if they lower the price on the car they may be less willing to give you as much on your trade.

Hey guys, just got back from the dealer with my 03 Z 31,000 miles. Stick.

Well to make a long story short the dealership couldn't hold up the price advertised. I had the VIN and yes it was the exact car. They said that it was a mistake, and that the person who had made the mistake was fired (I saw the guy leave, so he was fired.) Anyway, they said the only way they could hold up thier end of the deal is if I paid cash without trade. (bullcrap) so I made them cut another 1G off the price and add 500 on my trade. I left with the car for $21,000. Did the deal with the owner of the dealership, and even though they didn't honor thier price they were good to me.

Oh yeah they threw in a 5yr/100,000 mile waranty HAHA

Hahah I was thinking the exact same thing, but you still got the car cheaper than you had planned on by $1500, so congrats! You won! lol

I had the samething happen to me a 3 years ago. My wife and I were looking for a Nissan Xterra and saw a 2001 for $18500 on the internet. So when we went to the dealer we ask what was the price and he said 21K and maybe we can work on it. And I showed him the Internet ad price and said I would pay that $18,500 or nothing so he took it to the manager and said ok. Of course the vehicle was sitting there for like 3 weeks and saw the price drop like a grand a week.

Not to say that it always works but always worth a try. I have seen plenty of ad mistakes when you go there they say well I can't give it to you at that price. But never heard anyone was fired. Maybe he was punk'd or something.

You guys are probably right, they probably could have done it for that price, but oh well. They tried to pull alot of crap to get me to just go ahead and buy it.

Ex: Another salesman came in said,"Hey, Blah Blah, someone will be her in 30 minutes to pay the $19997 cash." Then I said,"Bullcrap, don't play games with me." Then I told him to leave. He did.

They also tried to lower my trade like Hypeiv said.

Thanks guys I will enjoy the car. Man I read all about the attention that the Z got but I just experienced this myself. I traded in a 2003 1500 ram quadcab, sport package, dark tint, debadged, costum exhaust, ram air hood, hemi, pretty much the works. I hardly got any stares or wows, and no one ever tried to race me. Well with the Z I had about three compliments, a couple of stares and two races (2 hondas, smoked them both) in such a matter of hours. Man I LOVE this car. Even my g/f was like man this thing get alot of stares.

I don't condone street racing.

I got my 03 DB Touring with 28K miles for $20k. It was marked at $25k but they ended up dropping it $20k because it was taking a while to sell.
