Default Rotating tires?

I am no car expert, but I thought when you rotate tires, the front left will go on the rear right and vice versa. But the rear tires and fornt tires are not the same size. So how would they be rotated?

They arn't. You cannot rotate them unless you physically take the tire off and swap to opposite side.

If you look on your tires there is a little arrow, this arrow indicates which way the tires should turn.

So if you took front left and put it right rear that tire would be rotating the opposite direction....this is not good.

Also if you are running different size wheels front/back thats obviously not going to fly.

Since radial tires became prevalent on cars in the late 70's, I haven't seen anyone recommend the cross-swap method of rotation.

On the stock Z I don't think the tires can be rotated at all. All the tires are directional, and as you already noted the fronts and backs are of different sizes. So you can not rotate unless you went from back to front in parallel which would give the correct rotational directions but give you really poor handling since the fronts will be wider than the backs.

Perhaps if you removed the tires, turned them inside out, and swap them in parallel from left to right .... why bother?

as people have already said you cannot swap the Z's tires in the traditional way. however it is still imperative to do so in order to optimize your tire wear and life. at least on the front.

what you have to do is remove the rubber from the rims. flop them to the other rim but turning them inside out, so you can keep them directionally correct. not the easiest job but well worth the end result in evening out the tire wear. if you cant do this yourself, most cant, you can easily find a place that will do it for say 20-30 bucks.

just pay attention or have them pay attention so they do not scratch your rims!!!
