Supports the notion that supply and demand are about in balance and discounts are on their way. The fact that you were able to get a car sooner than your MSRP order came in would tend to support that. It may be that Chicago is already a $1,000 discount market, in which case, you gave up a chunk of change by buying another car before you order came in.
