The RS line is always released about 1 or 2 years before a new redesigned model is released. BMW did it with their E46 3 series with the facelift...1 1/2 years later E90. The Honda S2000 went through minor body changes about a year ago...expect a new model soon. Whether its a simple aestheic change or a performance upgrade....its all a marketing technique so customers perceive it as "something special" or a new product.

i'm not saying that i agree with the expected changes from the first post but changes are due for the Z.
Yes we do!!! Nissan has never done this with the Z.

Wow...man you guys have to take it easy on those guys. I mean they're just trying to give everyone the heads up. I mean that would be cool to see you know what I mean, but the Flux-capacitor! Man I can't wait for those! Does anyone know if those will come standard?

There will be an $1,100.00 premium. Unless of course you buy the LA color then the charge for the flux capacitor will be waived. Except in the Track model because everything cost more. Except if its a Track in LA color then it's not available but you still have to pay the $1,100.00 premium just because they feel they can charge you for it.

Now, if you preorder a Track model in LA with the flux capacitor you will be charged for both the LA and the capacitor ($2,200.00 total) but will only recieve 1 or the other which will be disclosed at time of delivery.

If you order any of the above AND Nav, well thats another story all together.

Just thought I'd give you a heads up.

Unfortunatley the flux isn't available with the Mona custom paint orders. You will be pleased to hear that that particular paint color is only 9.4 mil. But doesn't come with the Nav option. We can get you custom 22" wheels with spinners though! Trust me, they'll fit. You do trust me don't you?

damn...flux or mona lisa.....flux or mona lisa......I'll go for the mona lisa for 9.4 mil. Thanks for the deal man! The flux is such a waste of money...I could just get it from APC afterwards. Don't want the 22" spinners tho...this is a sports car man! You gotta put the 25 inchers on there!

Of course I trust u. Just like I trust the original poster! 3 months...and u'll all be crying while I'm laughing with my first order!

Believe whatever you want, just like I will believe whatever I want. If you honestly felt that I was insulting those with few posts, then you need to adjust your sensitivity. I was in no way insulting them, just a "speculation" as you suggested.

Now that this is back on track, how much is it for the anti-gravitational device option?

Alex
The RSX is just one of the many examples of updated cars to keep their profits afloat. Not a direct comparison. I agree, that manufacturers have to use their option of updating a car w/ discretion depending on the sales of the that particular model.

What I'm just saying that that an update (no matter how big or small) is used as a marketting strategy to keep their sales/profits from slipping past a point where their expenses will eat into their profits. Certainly, if a car is doing well as expected year after year, there is hardly any need to update it. But most cars are not immune to falling sales or time itself, especially when there is much competition in the segment the Z is going into its 4th year of production.

Just a side note, I'm sure some Z owners (you know who you are ) neglect/deny to recognize any type of update because it makes their model year seem obsolete, and it hurts their pride/ownership of their car, I can understand that because I had, and have cars that's gone thru the same situation. I love getting the newest toy on the block too, but time won't wait for anyone (maybe except God), and updates are bound to happen when the time is right, according to manufacturers.

As for the flaming of the new posters, I'm not directing it at you. Just a bit irritated by it since there wasn't really a need for it.

Cheers.

On this model, all you have to do is reverse the polarity of the graviton field. That will give you an instant 123 horsepower!
Of course, in the real world, if you reverse the polarity on ANYTHING you get a big freakin mess and a circuit that no longer works. Unless your last name is Roddenberry.
Maybe it's the New Z06NCC1701

An interior update is great... but... um.... well... what about the exterior and the paint chips?! Why not update that? Better Paint > New Interior IMO.

Oh, and they better offer a flying option for the new Z. If they don't, then I'm gonna have to do a flight conversion myself

Come on Nissan, we want our Zs to fly stock, don't make us have to upgrade it

If it's true, i wonder if the wider track helps with all the suspension problems of the current version?

what suspension probelems besides tire feathering i dont see anything that would hinder the Zs once the camber is dialed in. Acutuall modifide the Z is a beast in the handleing department

Crud.....I hope they do too much of this stuff, I just order a APSTT and jwt cams. They might pass me, before I even get to put them in. This just quite right. But for real, look at the mustang, upping to 300hp, and next? Look at the corvette upping to 400hp and 500hp, depending which one. It appears that the competition is on btwn car manufactures on hp presently. I wouldn't be surprised. I figure approx. 450hp will keep me there for a while anyway.

what relevance does my having (1) post have anything to do w/ what I was saying???.. Apparently I have to spell it out for you. My POINT is that obviously both SNs were the same guy trying to bail himself out of this lame thread. Thats it. It had nothing to do w/ him being new or how many 'posts' he has etc. (hell, this is my first) Just calling on evidence that it most prb is the same person.....now, Am I an a-hole for calling him out?.. SURE I am, --> guilty as charged just thought it was hilarious what people do, just thought I'd point it out.

Good point on the paint, but in 06 that will be taken care of

shhhhhhh......I heard since Delorean is dead now, nissan can legally wrap the 06 Z in stainless steel (standard equipment) or anodized titanium colors (as an option)

no more paint chips and no clear bras
