Default Tinting this weekend. Some window help please.

Does anyone know where the relay is for the power windows? I"d like to pull it so that the windows do not automatically open and close based on the state of the doors. I'd like to give the tint some time to set before that.

Thanks in advance.

yes, it's a fused link in the fust box in the battery compartment labeled BCM. however, this controls all things such as locks, windows, etc. it's not necessary to pull the relay; merely tape the door switches (the ones that turn the lights on and off automatically) down to the door jamb. this will raise the windows, and you can do your tint, let it set for a half hour or so, then go on your way. how do i know this? i did it. works fine.

Just loosen the screw holding the jamb switch in the door frame. Retighten to reactivate.

Have your tint shop use a heat gun to set the bottom seam of the tint and you shouldn't have any problems.

I totally agree with
droidekaus.

When mine was done, they used a small torch from the glass side, and there were no problems at all.

Default Let it sit for awhile

like a couple of hours before closing the doors. My passenger side window track was really tight and caused the tint to curl. They ended up taking off the door panel to tint it properly.
If you can leave it with the tint guy for a few hours this might alleviate the problem. (the heat gun didn't help).
They would take the screw out of the door jam in order to stop the window from going up and down.
