Oh the joy of finally breaking in the engine. I've had my car for about 2 months now, finally put over 2k miles on it, and started practicing launches and what not days before. I already raced my brothers G35 already and beat him about 3 car lengths. Well days after i break in the engine, me and a few of my buddies went out and i was the sober driver for the night. I had 4 guys in my car, 5 including me and we were heading to del taco to satisfy our late night munchies. As im about 50yrds approaching a right turn onto a main street, and 350z launches right by me cuts me off and busts a quick right. Now as my friends were beginning to scream and yell trying to tell me to catch up, i pop my car into 2nd taking the turn at around 30mph, and i was almost caught up tailing him at around 85mph. We see the upcoming intersection light turn yellow and the guy in the 350z was thinkin the exact same thing i was thinking, "go time". I pulled up next to him, looked over and smiled, and he gave me a little nod. Well all my boys were screaming and yelling making me all nervous saying stuff like, "he's gonna burn you!!!" to me!!! The left signal turned green so i dropped it into 1st, let off the clutch and began revin it alittle. I swear to God that left signal stayed green for 3 minutes. FINALLY the left signal turns yellow and i started revvin it up to about 4000 rpm, and once i saw it turn red i hit it up to 5000rpm. I dropped the clutch and launched perfect..... i could tell the guy didn't have a great start because i already had a car length on hiim once i shifted into 2nd. Well from 2nd gear i think i pulled another 1/2 a car length and by 3rd and 4th i was up around 2 1/2 - 3 car lengths. I had to bust a quick right inorder to get to del taco so i gave him a thumbs up outta my window and i gained full consciousness from that speed-rush... theres complete silence in the car and as i look around i see big smiles on their faces and heavy breathing from all of them.... AFter about 5 seconds of silence we all started yelling and laughing. All my friends are car-idiots. They have no clue what the evolution is nor do they know the speed capabilities. I know launching with a full car killed my clutch.... but i had to take the opportunity.
No better feeling than beating a 350z with a Full car ( 550lbs + )

secondly, were you driving the evo or the Z?

yea thats what I thought...but why is the title "read this crap" then? and why are those Z mods in his sig? or does he have both cars?

BS on what? The EVO even with a full load would probably still win. The Z might've gotten a crappy jump.

Point is, who really cares. Street racing is stupid anyways.

you got it. the evo with a full load of 4 people would not win let alone pull 3 or 4 cars

I'm very hung over, and i'm down at the beach and there are no girls down here yet, it sucks.

 

Now that is something to complain about.

 

Lol, not hungover. Didn't drink enough last night. I didn't get in until 630am this morning... thats usually what time I get TO work. Haha.

 

damn...you're a psychic aren't u? i AM in fact hungover...last weekend to drink before my finals.....cant study if my life depended on it. 7 finals in 5 days...then 5 countries in 2 days...then adjust my jetlag...then pick up my Z...then put the parts on the Z... argh!! (like i can complain about the Z... )

so yea...my point is that I am REALLY hungover from the last night of drinking for a while...

EVO should pull rather hard on the Z from a deadstop

If I had to bet money on a race

350Z with a singler person

VS

EVO with 5 people in it.

If the race was from 0-80mph I'd put money on the EVO

even with the added weight if you drop the clutch at a high enough RPM the car will take off like a bat outta hell.
