Default JD Power ranks 350Z on top for 05

All I hear all the time from people is how supposedly horrible Nissan does with regard to quality and reliability. My experience with the 3 nissans that I've owned has been just the opposite..and now I can actually back it up with some evidence.

Z takes JD power's top honors in the premium sports car segment for 05.

Anyway, I agree with you. Nissan's build quality is underrated. I think they make fine automobiles, and the first few year bugs are common among all cars. With any new body style/major change to a car, you should expect a few bugs to work out... I think that people complaining that the 350z is bad because it breaks just don't have common sense. Weither its a Corvette, Mustang, 350z, STi, or WRX... the first year of a major change always has a few bugs to work out.

Nissan rocks IMO, they are definitely one of my favorite car companies.

nah you can get real people back there.

what criteria did they use? number of recalls/complaints?

the z is great for $30k, but my 01 TT looks way better and is much better built than my Z was...

I believe they compile data from recalls, complaints, "expert" reviews and customer surveys.

what did you expect for 30% of the cost of the porsche??

So there's only 3 cars in the "Priemum Sports Cars" JD Power group?

Does anybody have the entire group?

You won't find Audi on any list by JD Powers or Consumer Reports. I just sold an '02 A4 and while it was a nice car, the quality was no where near that of a BMW or the like. CR rips Audi as cars not to buy used. I'd own one only if it was under warranty. My neighbor had a TT and it was plauged with problems and was a fixture at the Audi service department.

Edit - DUH!!! by TT you meant Twin Turbo. Didn't notice your sig LOL

My buddy has a 996TT. Fasted car I've ever been in!

Number of complaints per 100 vehicles sold. According to the USA Today article I read, the industry average is 118 per 100. If every single owner complained about the tire feathering problem and nothing else, that would be 100 complaints for every 100 vehicles.

What kind of "real" people do you know? Nobody with a normal sized adult body can sit in the back of a 911TT for more than 5 minutes without wanting to get the **** out of it. But who cares, its a 911 TT.

And i think your last comment is just kind of silly. My Z is great for the money, but my Ferrari Enzo is waaay nicer, faster, and better built than my z.
