Default Pro-1 Parts

I just got my Z about a week ago and I was wondering if the Pro-1 exhaust parts were any good. I dont want it to be nasty loud or ricey, I just want something that has a deep growl. I want something that is going to be a quality piece that Im not going to want to change out in a year because of wear or being to loud. Sorry if this sounds jumbled but an exhaust is my first mod and I dont want to make a mistake.

The Pro-1 will be raspy and ricey with the silencers in, and will sound decent but will be so loud you will hate driving with the silencers out. Hope that helps.

I love the stock throaty sound, I wouldn't change it for the world . Unless of course I go FI that's a different story.

I have the Pro-1, and it is very loud, but it sounds great. It's not raspy at all, but I've never put the silencers in. Also, I still have my cats, the Pro-1 is my only exhaust mod. I get so many compliments on the sound of the car. All of my car friends always want me to rev the car just to hear the sound.

The other day, a bunch of us were hanging out, and I pulled out and took off. Well, my buddy's girlfriend looked at my other friend who has a Z and said "Why doesn't yours sound like that?!?" He has the Injen exhaust, and I guess he didn't think that was very funny, but everyone else did.

Anyway, like i said, it's VERY loud, so if you don't like it loud, this would not be the exhaust for you. If you are interested, PM me and we can arrange for you to hear the car sometime using cell phones, to see if you like the sound or not.

Yeah if you like REALLY loud exhaust you may like it. Of course, at the time I was running headers, hf cats, and an aftermarket y-pipe with the exhaust so it was just that much louder.
