Did anybody else get told by a Nissan rep. yesterday at Blackhawk that all the pre-order guys would be getting a cd in the mail reeeeal soon. He wouldn't say what was on it. If it's true (cough...cough) maybe this is what ZISME was talking about when he hinted that we shouldn't change our address.
I'm guessing the CD has the following:
1. PC Game
2. Interactive display set to music (like the SE-R Spec V CD)
3. Footage of behind the scenes i.e. "Making of the Z", the movie.
4. Performance stats, perhaps with video of track usage.
BTW: If I'm right, can someone burn me a copy as I'm not a pre-order customer even though I ordered in April. Dealer didn't tell me until last week. I'm fine with a Nov/Dec delivery because I'll get to enjoy the Z through your comments. Plus, it's more time to save $$$

Yes, I was told the same thing by the Nissan rep with the buzz cut--CD coming in the mail soon. Glad I hung around for the 2 p.m. re-opening of the 350Z, because they finally let us in the car for "unliimited seat time". Well, not quite unlimited! Good to know my 6'5" frame fits in with 1.5" of headroom to spare--amazing. Unfortunately, my Z-feaver has now risen several degrees....
Did others notice what a great feel the gearbox has? Short throws, precise, great gate: really nice.
The other great news for those of us ordering after late April, is that the Nissan guys claimed that ALL preorders would be filled by the end of October--no waiting into November, per them.

i think part of the reason that pointfivezero gets all of the cool stuff is because of the .50 caliber gun he owns. He just points his 350Z security system at people and receives the mother load

when I put my deposit down my sales weasel saidI would get something special...like a pen. :|
I thought it was joking, but he was serious. Let's be honest folks...Nissan can't exactly afford to send off lavish gifts, even to the relatively few pre-sell customers.

I don't think a CD would be considered lavish. How much could it possibly cost? You make one and burn copies of 6499 more. Probably not too much for a major international corporation to handle.
Just want one thing fromNissan..My 2003 Chrome Silver Touring 350Z with Charcoal leather AT NAV, the stickers on the window and the front plate bracket in the hatch the way it was shipped..Thank You Very Much
I almost got stuck with one myself. So, I hung up the phone and called the Sales Manager who took the order and was genuinely concerned about getting things right.
I wish Nissan would clean up their dealerships. They probably lose a lot of business because people are put off.
BTW: Last night I received a call from my local Infiniti dealership looking to get me out of my current Nissans and into an Infiniti or two. Interesting approach and one that might just pay off. Although, does one hand rob from the other?

Service after the sale? Yeah, right. Some of you may care, but I sure don't. Even getting warranty work done by them scares the poop out of me.

no can do. I haven't splurged for a digi-cam. I'm sure one of the other's who were there can post a pic. There sure were a lot of cameras there.
