Default sell z for g35. worth it?

hey everyone.

i have a 2005 base 350z and have an opportunity to break even money wise w/ 12000 miles. i could buy another z but what about a g35? originally i planned to put a aps tt on my z, but i'd rather do it to a brand new car. i just test drove the 6spd. g35 today but the throttle felt like it was not as responsive as my 350. is that because they tuned the g35 down, even though it has 298hp, or is it just that the car wasn't broken in? could it be made to feel like the 350? and do they make a tt kit for the new g35 w/ 298 hp? what do you think about selling a 350 for a brand new g35?

sorry for so many questions...

thanks.

alex.

I'd keep the Z... but that's me...

What do you want? Zs & Gs are similar cars with different looks and tweaked slightly different for different tastes... only you will know what you want.

He has a Base model, which isn't 298hp.

I'd go for the TT, it's pretty much like getting a whole new car.

I would stay with Zzzz because I like the stlying sooooooooooo much better.

But the G does have better interior & the back seat.

If you can break even on the Z than gooooooo for it if you like the G better.

G35 is heavier with those back seats.

I meant 300hp above, well.. whatever.

Didn't APS install the ST system on an 05?

Regardless, it's only a matter of time until we start seeing kits becoming compatible with the 300hp engine.

I hate to say this because I am a diehard Z fan and previous Z owner but, if you want to make the decision easy, take your Z to an Infiniti dealer and park it right next to a G. Everyone says they are the same thing but a little different. Supposedly the Z is more sporty and the G is more classy. I put the two right next to each other and there is no comparison. You should make your own decision but definitely park them right next to each other (in the same color if possible). Take a look at it from all angles. You are right about the throttle response but that could be due to the wait and the softer suspension. I am sure it could be tuned to run just like the Z. Also, I will check again but I believe the APS kit and Greddy kit both work on the G's with the 298hp engine. I will check to be sure. If they aren't ready yet they will be soon plus I was planning to milk this warranty for a year anyhow.

Yea, I just got off the phone with Kyle at SGP. He says tuning the 05 G is no problem and just like the rest.

probably needs different ecu tuning. in fact there is a shop that did that in lake forest, they put a greddy tt on an 05 g dirty and all they had to do is take it to technosquare! runs fine i hear!

for some reason, i feel the G is made for chicks, its probably because i only know girls that own G's. i Just cant see myself in a G, The Z looks very aggressive, which is why I like it.
