Daily driver since day 1... I don't see the Z as impractical. I wouldn't buy a sports car to be practical! If you want a practical car buy an SUV or Mazda6 Wagon or one of those hybrids so you can save on gas too....

Only thing that worries me is all the pot-holes in San Francisco!

Daily drive my Z too.
ONly stuff I need to haul on a daily basis is my g/f and groceries, plenty of space!
I have to move real soon though, I'll just rent a uhaul for 30 bucks, I coudln't fit all my stuff into any car or SUV anyway!
Get the Z!

Daily Driver? Not a chance...no place to haul stuff. For me, the Z is a vehicle used for other purposes than commuting to work, hauling groceries, pulling a trailer, etc... I have other vehicles for that.

I bought the Z because I missed having a Sports Car. I have three other vehicles and those fill other needs.

Of course, many people love the Z but can only afford one vehicle. My suggestion to them is there are other vehicles with much more usable features for day to day tasks. Yes, you can use the Z as a daily driver...just be aware of the inherent limitations of a sports car.

Great daily driver for me. The Konis and FSB make the car even better.

Have you considered a G35. It gives you 2 rear seats and more trunk space. You can also put the seats down for extra space if you need to.

I decided to go with the Z since I was replacing a '84 300ZXT. I have a sedan already so when the family comes by we either take their car or use my sedan. I was thinking about selling my sedan and my 300zxt at the time and getting a G35 but, for 8K cheaper I figured I would rather keep the sedan and buy a 350Z. I like the looks and the lower stance of the 350Z much better after I drove both. I also like the interior of the Z a little better at well.

It is not a "daily driver" for me, as I work at home...but if I don't drive
it every day I will go crazy.

Had it 5 weeks, 2250 miles already.

Took it to Memaw's on Mother's Day, carried the wife, her soft luggage,
my tool box, and Memaw's new exercise bike(in many parts).

While there, put Memaw in the passenger seat, moved her all the
way forward, raised her seatback, the wife rode sideways behind
the seat, sitting on the rear console...drove around the block.

I use mine as a daily driver and it's fine. But, I do have another car if I have to haul more than two people or need a trunk. If the Z is going to be your only car you need to determine if it's lack of practability is going to be an issue. If it's not, go for it as a daily driver.

What I suggest for you is to buy the Z because it is worth every penny and kicks *** to drive everyday and get a crappy car that you can use to carry things when need be. Spend 1000$ and get some beat up cavalier and enjoy driving the Z knowing that if you need to carry anything too big to fit in the Z which is pretty much everything, you have your other car. Insurrance would be cheap and problem solved.

i'm daily driving my z right now, but i do have another car. but that car doesnt have room either. so i use my girlfriends car whenever i need to carry something big. if i had no access at all to another vehicle i wouldn't have bought the z.

Had initially used my Z as a DD despite having another vehicle that would yield MUCH better gas mileage. But after some incidents outside of my workplace (involving my Z), I elected to take my beater to work so that I didn't have to keep a watchful eye on the Z every workday...

But the Z is a great DD. Friendly ride with decent gas mileage and power on demand And let's not forget about styling

I commute to work in mine everyday (70 mile round trip). 29k on car and still going strong. I bought this car knowing it would be a DD. Did I ever think G35c ? Not no, but HELL no.

Ever since getting my Z as a daily driver -- though I do have a 15 yr old Honda Accord as a spare car -- I've discovered the joys of ordering things online and having them delivered!

Yes, but I'm young. I have access to an SUV for moving stuff. The only time I've ever needed a truck was to carry the bodykit/hood for the Z .

I repair computers, and sometimes its a ***** to carry large server cases in the Z, but they usually fit. I made the mistake of adding a sub box under the strut bar, so all my cargo goes in the passenger seat.

I drive mine daily. Still have 1 teen at home & it has not been a problem. All I carry for work is my briefcase & it fits nicely. I've loved driving my Z daily. The trunk space keeps me from overpacking for pleasure trips. My Harley is for riding & not trailering, so I've not experienced any problems by using my Z daily. If you live where there is snow, the rear wheel drive won't go up the smallest of hills, so you might want to consider the weather & if you have to drive if the weather does get bad. I'm lucky in the fact that if the weather is bad, I stay in during snow & ice.

If ya want to keep this or any car pristine, you'll need a beater.

Who needs to haul more stuff than a Z can carry on a daily basis? The Z is a superb daily driver. Life is too short to drive an SUV or a SEDAN or a FAMILY CAR or a COMPACT or even a sh*tKikr as a daily driver. Drive the best car that you can, live it up, just know who to borrow a truck from when you need one.
