It seems there's a rash of break-ins, keying, egging, and other vandalism going on these last two weeks like it's national screw with a Z owner month.

Not if I don't have to. If I have to, then only where I can see it.

no, but if you do on a regular basis I recommend investing in a car cover. Tuck your mirrors in too. If your parking is close to your house, use some cameras

My car will never spend the night outside. Doing so is just asking for trouble...

Never spends the night out, she prefers her own space inside the garage.

Garage here too...

Didn't help when someone decided to dump a soda on it when I was out at a restaurant on Friday.

My guess is that this outbreak of vandalism can be attributed to the summer and the large population of kids being out of school, bored, and thinking of nothing better to do but vandalize cars, seems like more kids than adults engage in these types of activities.

In response to your post, i never park on the street, but my house kind of wont let me, cuz my house is like 200 yrds off the main street.

At work I park on the street. Mind you this is Palm Beach where the worst theft lately was a bike that was stollen three years ago. You do have to watch out for those cocoanuts though. They have put serious dings in several of my coworkers cars.

I did the last 3 nights partying at my friends house. I paid for it and once I repair the car I am getting a car cover.

The Z isn't my most expensive car, but I am aware it is more of a target to steal or vandalize, so it's the car I garage. The others stay outside.

i have my own driveway behind my house and a car port that covers it from the sun above, some one COULD walk behind me house and do what ever, but then the motion-light detctor turns on, and if any ones awake its pretty obvious some one is behind the house.

When i am out and parking at work, i allways park away away from other cars, that way theres no door dings and if you are standing near my car you cant pretend like your getting in "YOUR" car, its clear your up to no good. The surveillance cameras will see you clearly standing by my car and surveillance team knows my car hehe. infact once they called me at my work station, "hey forrest theres 5 black guys walking around your car, oh oh oh wait whats this they are pickign it up and walking away!!!!!!!!!" lol

Another technique i use is parking between some of my freinds at work who know my car is my baby, i dont have to worry about dings from these people.

but if i had to park my car out in the street, i woudlnt have bought my car, ill buy a junker if thats the case.
