Default 85010S Nissan Facia kit Rear Bumper

I got rear ended, and I am sick of color-matching problems!

For that reason, I am trying to get one factory "pre-painted" rear fascia from Japan. I am awaiting confirmation that this is the same that goes in at the assembly plant. If this is not the case, obviously there is no point of spending the extra $$.

But, does anybody know if the JDM 85010S Nissan Facia kit Rear Bumper will fit the US 350Z? Are there any differences/fitment issues?

See JDM part diagram attachment:

wouldn't shipping from Japan make it more expensive eventually?

Certainly, the key is that this is the "pre-painted bumper that gets installed at factory".

So the color should be as good as it gets. Make sense?

yes, i agree that the color is as good as it gets...as long as your paint is new.

now, if your paint has been seen some sunlight, it will be a little (maybe even unnoticeable at some times) different.

Then again, you have an '05, so hopefully you've kept it garaged/waxed/etc. and should have no problem matching the factory paint

The problem is the dealership painted my replacement back bumper directly with the KY0 factory paint, without matching it to the rest of the car!

When I complained that the color tone doesn't match on the shade; they told me to wait a month so that the paint can "cure".

I am waiting to see if the wait indeed cures my woes, but in the mean time, I am exploring all possibilities.

Thanks for the update Jun.
