Is grinding 2nd a common problem?

Doesn't mix with water as much and should last longer.

Also I dont buy synthetic is better argument, I dont see any real studies that indicate that. Everything thats been said about it is so subjective. I am a believer of numbers, show me numbers and then tell me when to bow.
And changing the oil often doesnt hurt, its a little expensive, but I am willing to take that expense to prevent any possible problems that could happen.
For those who think its human error, I feel sorry for you WHEN your car starts grinding.
when mine first grind 6 months ago, I too thought it was my fault since it never happened again. Now, after 6 months my 3rd & 5th gear grinds all the time. Its embrasshing and painful to have such a beautiful car do this. Mines an 03 and I'm at 28k, wonder if my warranty is still good? Had i known of all these problems I would definately got a S200 but its too late.

The Vdc Has Nothing To Do With It..i Was Coming Out Of A Drift In Second Today Straightnd Out !!! Slammeed Into Third And It Scared The Living Hell Out Of Me With The Grind!!! And I Dont Constantly Abuse It..but I Did Buy The Car To Drive It To Its Potential!! The Grind Had Deff Something To Do With The Tranny...the Driver As Well..if Any Of You Do End Up Getting The Tranny Replaced..dont Shift So Hard/fast..and There Is Shift Kits Out There That Make The Shift Alot Smoother So Look Into It !! There Is Also Ones That Make It Harded..haha So Deff Look Into It !!!
I do experience 6th gear grinds when i am letting loose on the freeways....other then that my 03 track has been great to me and i hope it will last. I always take extra precautions when daily driving to keep from grinding.
Mine always grinds second or third when im showing off and generally being an a-hole... i guess thats what I get. I know its not driver error though because it happens at other times too.
I just got my car back from the dealership regarding my tranny. As usual, they say there's no problems with it. Even my dad says so because he says there's no problems when he drives the car. They all think it's the way I drive. If I grind so much in my car, why don't I grind in other cars? I don't need to drive hard for it to grind - even driving casual. I rarely drive hard, so either way it likes to grind. It's not from letting out the clutch early as well. It grinds as I try to get in gear while the clutch is down! It comes and goes, and they all think I can't drive wortha ****. Heck, when I first got my car, I rarely grind gears and I was still a newb till the probem started getting worst around 16k and beyond (22k now). >:-(
BTW... 2/3/5 are the baddies with 2nd being the worst.

VW, Audi, Toyota, Lexus have all had oil jelling issues leading to complete engine failure. They tried to blame on infrequent oil changes and failed. Oil was breaking down after repeated over heating cycles. Will NOT happen with synthetics. Cheap insurance if you ask me. Mobil 1 is not that more expensive than quality regular oil.
