Default anyone had problems with cd player?

im just wondering if people have had problems with their cd player skipping or giving them error messages. sometimes it works and the other times it won't read the cds at all.

I did. The dealer replaced it under warranty. I had to take it in twice. The first time when he got in the car it wouldn't skip. He had to order one. Probably a refurb, but I can't tell the difference.

Well mine never did that, but...My only problem with it was that it sounded like CRAP lol
Do yourself a favor and get aftermarket headunit and speakers, if you can an amp also.
That's what I did =)

My OEM CD player just started skipping last week. Ironically on my way to get my NISMO exhaust installed. Of course, when I took it to the dealership, it wouldn't skip at all. They told me if it does continue to skip, just bring it back in. I'm sure it will start skipping again in a few months when the warrenty is up.

PS--It only skipped on a CD that I burned on my computer, it would play store bought cd's just fine...this week it's playing the burned cd with no problem so who knows?

I've had 3 Bose head units in my car for various problems.

Try an oil change.

Sorry but I have no idea what "its a car issue more than a cd player issue" means, when it's the cd player that is skipping or giving error messages. I'm no mechanic, but sounds to me like it's a cd player issue.

:: is confused ::

My CD player only gets stuck in the winter twice, but since I don't drive it much in the winter I didn't know until end winter.

My cd player doesn't read the discs at all anymore...I can't get an aftermarket cd player because I will lose my nav system.

Read the stickies in the audio forum, there's a thread on how to retain nav speakers.
