What kind of damage can I cause by running 6 quarts of oil for several minutes while doing some half *** runs? My nephew didn't pay attention and accidentally poured in 6 bottles instead of 5. I didn't realize it either until I drove around a block laying on it some. I hope I didn't blow seals. No smoke, engine idles fine, I'll be ok right?

 

Too much oil can allow the connecting rods to contact the oil in the pan causing a loss of HP and air getting into the oil. I think you are OK. What made you check it after driving? You have removed 1qt ...right?
