It matches your rims well. Any pics of the closeup?

i'm surprised BlueBatmobile hasn't made overlays to accomplish the same thing
for door handles. or would too much use with opening and closing the door cause
it to come off?

that would be a great idea for him since he does almost every other part

that way it could be removable..
but he would probably have a hard time working with the 3 dimples in the handle.

Thanx for the pic with the solid black handles... was thinking that also

Hmmm, I dont' think overlays would look right or be very easy to do with all the complex angles. Painting seems to be the way to go <starts searching DBZCat's posts for info on how to she did it...>

yeah...that's gonna be the hard part, getting an exact match. The DB has, as you know, some silver powdered mica in the paint and that may be impossible to duplicate with powdercoat. I know of a good shop in Vancouver who powdercoated the sway bars on my ImpalaSS 5 years ago and they still look fantastic. I'm going to talk to him first.

Another option is having them prepped and painted in factory code paint. It should stick to the aluminum, shouldn't it???

One other option is a black chrome finish which kinda appeals to me.

Again, I'm pretty sure you can't powdercoat the factory handles, since I'm pretty sure they are plastic.

When you guys paint the handles, what kind of prep work did you do? And did you take the handle off of the door first???

This is just morally, spiritually and/or every other way wrong.

Dont like it. Different strokes I guess.

i simply painted it with a spry paint formulated for plastics (no primer or sanding)
that way i can remove it later. only the painted portion is plastic.

I really like the stock look. To me...one of the best features. I have had compliments on my stock doorhandles. Don't get that with many cars.
