Here's another air filter question ....Anyone ever use the "True Flow Foam Air Filter" ....I saw it advertised at Pep Boys website for $28.00....It's different (and less expensive) than other Z filters I've seen since it uses a foam material.

What do you guys think?? Would the foam break down prematurely??

Tests have been done, and foam (Greddy uses it) is the worst by far at stopping dirt. Couldn't pay me enough to use one.

 

+1 Just get a K&N drop in filter or something comparable. It's about the same price and much better quality. Or if you want to spend a little more get a JWT popcharger. I love mine.

I don't live in dusty conditions and it has less than 200 miles on it!!

If anything it would be better since you wouldn't have to let it sit and dry up a bit before you install it.
