Default stock drivers seats not centered?

Anybody else notice that when you're sitting in the factory cloth drivers seat, that you are off centered about 1" to the right of the center of the steering wheel?

I feel like the wheel should be about 1" over to the right or the seat 1" over to the left or the wheel 1/2" over to the right and seat 1/2" over to the left.

And those bottom bolsters are like a rock getting in and out of the car. The stock seats would have to go (in the trash). I'm hoping they are using a new seat design in the '06's

Yeah, this is actually common in a lot of different vehicles. Start looking for it when you get into other cars. You'll be surprised. They do it to make it easier for people to drive one-handed with your left hand. I can't stand it, but that's just how it is. Typically the seat is scooted to the left a tiny bit in left-hand drive cars, and to the right a tiny bit in right-hand drive cars.

Yea, I was looking thru the 2005 brochure and there was an interior shot and I was surprised at how noticable it was even in the pic. I have seen this in a lot of other cars too, just always wonderd why that was. In the pic it actually looked like the seat was "cocked" to the right at an angle, as opposed to just being moved over.

I agree it is annoying though. Makes me feel like I have a screwed up back.

Oh my God! That's why I started thinking that I had scoliosis!! I even checked it out but everything was fine, yet every time I got into my car, I'd feel like my neck was dislocated and my back was bent...

Son of a *****! What a relief...I guess I'm not the only one...
