Default How Fast Can You Go....

without losing total control of the Z? Im just curious 'cause it feels like something is wrong with mine. I was driving on a downward curve ~ only doing about 50-60 & the car was all over the road. Arent these cars meant to take turns pretty well? I have an eclipse & I dont think it ever jumped over the white line taking a turn. Could it be my suspension?

That depends on what you are doing...in a turn? Straight line? Fastest I have taken my Z was 182 on the digi speedo...about a week after the turbo kit was installed. In turns it depends. With 10.5" rear wheels and the Nismo LSD even with my Hotchkis sways set to full stiff in the rear its hard to loose it. When I do its powering into a drift...

Well I'm sure there is some variance there as I sincerely doubt the speedo even the digital is accurate at those speeds but thats what it said...and I tell you that was FAST.....

Biker Chick, does your car drive in a straight line when you let go of it on a flat street?

You might have an alignment or other suspension problem.

Cool

I've taken some curves between 70-80, and my Z hugged the road. I would have the front end checked.

This wasnt like a hard turn more like a sweeper~ I think the car goes over to the right a little but its only got like 3000miles on it & I never hit anything too bad :/ It takes bumps pretty hard, almost like i have no shocks.

That's why it's supposed to be so stable!

I would say have your dealer check your aligment, Suspension and for tire feathering since its under warranty why not have the dealer do it.

Too me it sounds like you hit one too many bumps and need an aligment and since you only have 3k on your car(Same as me) they should do it for free

Are you sure it's not just a bumpy road combined with the stiff suspension? If I take a hard turn and the road surface is uneven it can sort of buck a little bit because of how taut the suspension is...

I have taken "sweeping" turns at 95+mph and accelerating and the tires weren't even squeeling... stock suspension.

I would say you have a problem.

I was going to suggest that you have crappy tires, but if the OEM tires were warm they are pretty sticky (although I wouldn't replace with them or pay the $$ for them).

I went Mach 12 once.... My advice is, slow down to where the car doesn't do that. Maybe you were going too fast for the corner. Better tires also might help.

Ive noticed the same problem with stability. I used to be able to take 30 mile an hour ramps at 75, but now it doesn't feel like I can do it. I have noticed a slight drift when I take my hands off the wheel going straight on the hwy. also a creaking noise from the rear when I get out of teh car. Am I that much of a fat A$$? Time for an alignment/suspension check.

Do you have stock wheels/tires? Before I changed mine I was disappointed with my Z's handling, now it's great!

Lana... did you have VDC/Traction Control on or off? How worn are your tires? I've found with mine when the tires have heavy wear, it wigs out the VDC a little in high speed turns.
