Well, i went in today for a 2005 Enthu. SB 6SP. They didnt have it in stock but seemed very confident in finding one at another dealer. I test drove a blue one, loved it, but didnt feel the color of it. Did all the paper work, and since im 17 my brother was going to buy it for me. But somehow he didnt get approved for it, so i couldnt get it. Worst part is, i can easily afford the car, i make 400 a week at work, and my brother got a fully loaded 2005 325Ci BMW for 1.9%APR 36.5K, but not a 29K 350z? I guess im here complaing about my expierence but there was also good from this. The customer service was amazing there, they even had someone open the doors for us! Lol, i recommend anyone wanting a 350z in the So.Cal area to go to Performance Nissan in duarte. I had over 4 people there working with me, but only got cards from two of them. Ask for Ricky Gonzalez (Sales and Leasing) or Joey Salas (Assistant Sales Manager). I will be going back when the time is right, or maybe even sooner when i convince my dad to help co-sign as well.
the reason that your brother brother prolly didn't get qualified for the z is because he already has a debt of 36.5k from the BMW. Dealers look how much you make a month and if they see that he already has a car payment, house expense, or other bills, then those go in effect. best way is to prolly ask your dad.
400 a week at work minus taxes, living expenses, insurance etc. If I were anyone co-signing or buying this car for you, I would be worried as well. If the car costs almost twice what you make in a year, I wouldn't even think of buying it.
I think your brother had a quick chat with the salesman in the back saying,"I'll give you $10 if you say that I am not approve for the loan". Salesman says, "Okiedokie gotcha"

I think all 17 year olds should spend all the money they make on a $30K car (more expensive the better) and not worry about saving or investing their money. You're really not working it right unless you're at least $30K in the hole before you turn 18. It also prepares you for a life of living paycheck-to-paycheck, that too few people experience today, and ensures that you'll have to work until the day you die.

Well i work at one of my dads stores, the 400 is straight pocket money. i got no other expense except maybe buying new clothes etc. Sure i may seem like another average 17yr old asking daddy for a car, but hey im paying for it. My dad pays the insurance, theres so taxes, its stricly 400$ cash a week taht goes straight into my bank account. My bro was 18 when he got his car, all my friends are young and got there cars themselves (s2k,rx8,g35,bmws, porsches, and there all under 19), im young and want something nice while i can enjoy it and only get something better when i grow up. Well, i guess its time to et my dad to co-sign for this. =] thanks for all the good replies and not the sarcastic "17yr old replies." Im young, big ****ing deal, im not gonna wait till im older to enjoy the good things of life. Reckless4 and chicken, thank you very much!

Save that money...you can still enjoy things after you graduate from college. I made that mistake and I just got done paying for it. I'm 32. 17 is too young to worry about a $300-$500 car payment. Your quality of life would be greatly approved if you had a big bank account with no worries.
Side note.....maybe look for used Z if you really want it.

come on guys...hes simply sharing a story about his experience trying to buy the car we all love. I suggest that you dont telling him how to live his life or what not to buy. He is truely lucky, making 400 a week without the responsibilities of bills and rent. Thats how 17 year olds live. To be honest, im 17 also. I work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week to pay for my car. Luckily, my dads an insurance agent so i can afford the premiums at a discounted rate.
Anyways, good luck finding the right Z for you and paying for it. It is a great car.

Thanks flee. I mean, why wait to have the nice things in life if i can have them now. And lascala, by the time im done with college, ill have my porsche by then lol. Then i can start my career and buy a home. Start a family and all that good stuff. I dont wanna wait till im 26 out of college and starting to do good with the career im going for to start getting the things i want out of life. I mean, if you had the chance to buy one of your favorite cars when you were 17 would you have done it?

HAHA, you guys think it so easy... Just remember this old saying "Work now Play later. Play now Work later." Don't take it as an insult by others sharing or giving you advice that can make your life change in the future. I know your young and want a nice car but remember something in 5-10 years the Z will just be a thing of the past. But have you saved that money and invested it in something that makes money you will be that much richer and closer to success. Its hard to understand when you have the mind of a 17year old. But take this opportuniy to save money right now that you DONT have any debts. Because believe me, it will be too late. Good luck finding your Z.

Lol dont worry, theres money set aside from the Z fund lol. The family business (own 3 stores) we own a house here, and one in vegas. Sure i guess im well off. But i know i will be even more well of in the future. I respect the replies, sorry for the attitude. I guess i hate hearing that "your 17, you dontk know what your doing" sure im naive and such. But nonetheless, ill have my Z =]
i was in for service just yesterday on saturday. i slept late after trying to go through weddingp plans and woke up waaay past my maintinence appountment...i rushed there at 10am and i was doubtful they could do anything...well amazingly they got my car out with ALL the services i required plus a free car wash at 2pm....ric and javier at the service department really took care or me...this is why i travel 40 miles to got to performance rather than 2 miles to go to miller of woodland hills....the dealership is absolutley the best i have experienced, very professional...after the wedding is over i'm hitting up the parts department asap...lol
heh did anyone else catch this, he said hes paying for his z but his dad is his boss and the guy who pays his salary, so its basically like a large allowance making 400 a week bc no 17yr old making min wage working for someone else would make that. thats great that you do that and your getting a z but imo daddy is just moving the money from the left pocket to the right so hes really the one paying for it, your just not gonna have your large allowance. not meaning to flame i just find it funny bc so many ppl have this same story across the different forums.
+1 your bro's DTI(Debt To Income) ratio has gone up since the purchase of his BMW assuming it wasn't paid in full. Besides, you'd prolly get a better deal and APR under your fathers name. Good luck.

well yea its "daddys" money, i know i wouldnt get paid that much working somewhere else. but im not gonna reject the money he gives me, if it wasnt me working for that money, he would just give it to some other employee who does the same job i do. But yea, its "daddys" money if you wanna put it that way.
You guys are so harsh lol. I make 400 a week also, and I'm 17, and I pay for my own Z, including downpayments, monthly payments, insurance. Its not so bad, at that age you can live off your parents but i'd rather not put the burdens of my Z taste on my parents
. I could've gotten a cheap *** car but if I'm making that much money, and college is free (God bless america :-D ) why would I even bother investing it in something else? I'd rather have a sweet car.
In conclusion, why pick on him so much? Hes got the money, why can't he spend it? Its american capitalism at its best isn't it? The rich get richer and everyone else is trying to get there to that point?
