Congrats on the NSX, that is one sexy car that still looks good after 15 years.

Nice car! Enjoy it! They have always seemed a little expensive to me but a used one would bring it back into line price wise I would guess. Congrats and have fun!

$90 cheaper a year...$7.50 a month....two grande latte's or so.

Yeah, I never was a fan of the NSX at $80k...but I'm a huge fan at $29k. I'm also BIG into how a car looks/handles and how rare it is.

Basically, I would never trade the Z on a new EVO or STI, but something like this, well...yeah. It's nice to be able to drive a week or two and not even see another NSX.

This car is bone stock...I just stuck an alarm in it yesterday...that's it. Gonna be a long road of modding ahead, but whatever. At least most of the depreciation is out of it.

Again guys, major props to the Z....I loved my '03 Performance...it was really hard to let it go. I think it comes down to a change of pace and having a car that will be even more unique when I'm done modding it. It doesn't really have any other major advantages over the Z, other than the fact it was once $80k to buy, so the materials are top notch, even for 1991.

How about handling wise, with the mid engine and all?

Hard to tell at this point..running 15" rims on the front, 16" on the rear...

My Z had 18" gram lights with Tein springs and Stillen sways...it handled really well.

I think the NSX is close, and has potential to be better, but as it is, my modded Z would probably take it in a really sharp turn...I think.

I've never driven a midengined car (at least a rear-mid engined car, lol), so i've always wondered how it would compare, esp. to something with the weight distribution of the Z.

NSX's are considered Japanese Ferrari's! They dont need to be 250mph fast, just the look of an NSX says it all! I think the NSX and Toyota Supra TT are the most reliable Japanese sports cars to ever hit U.S. shores! (with the exception of Skyline by motorex). NICE ride! Good luck and post some pics!

I too was at this cross road before I purchased the Z
97 targa or 04 Z
would have paid the same price ...I love my Z...
but a NSX with 80000 miles on it vs a new car
If I had a do over I would have bought the NSX just the fact you dont see them around as much ....
btw NSX will be discontinue after 2005 are sold, maybe I can still find one

I also thought of getting a used NSX but just could not warrant the price vs. new car. Always have loved the NSX even though always underpowered.

You know, you can convert your headlights to the newer open eyed models and make you car look like an $90K car.

Hehehehehe..congrats with the car. I'm in the exact opposite boat as you. I own a '91 NSX (most reliable car I've ever owned!!) Its got 160K on it and runs like a champ. everything still works and etc. I'm now considering selling it for a GT 350z. Something about having a new car with the works....heated seats, navi, etc, etc. I love my NSX, but I've never bought a "new car" before, so maybe the Z will replace my NSX once the '06 comes out. Have fun with it! If you have any questions feel free to ask me. Also I'm sure you've been to www.nsxprime.com great site.

160k? Wow...100k more than the nsx I just picked up.

All I can say is that the Z is a fantastic car...if you don't mind not having something quite as unique as an NSX, the Z won't let you down at all. I'll probably go back to the Z when they re-do it in 2009 or so...or perhaps when the skyline GTR comes into my price range.

I found nsxprime...great place. Let the modding begin! (cause this car is bone stock and needs it bad!).
BTW- If you have any aftermarket parts on your NSX, sell them to me before you buy a Z.

I can't say that I'm not envious - because I am. I've been loving the NSX since I purchased my 300ZX in 1990 - It is a cool auto. If you were in Phoenix I would beg for a ride!
It's more than a bit out of my price range.
Have fun!
