anyone ever had this problem
i was driving last night and all of a sudden everything electrical in my car died. The windows were down and the tow truck was able to hook cables up to the battery in order to shut the windows. i had it towed to nissan and they said the main fuse was blown. (it was dark out last night and i didnt have a light when it happened). Also the jl fuse i have was melted at the end closest to the battery. The actual jl fuse wasnt melted but the bolts holding the fuse together were. I was thinking this was possbibly due to a ground between the jl fuse and the battery. Could the ground be downstream of the fuse? i am nervous about hooking up the system after the main fuse is replaced becuase i don't want to blow the fuse again.

Wow, that's kinda scary. I'm trying to think but I can't be sure what it was. Sounds like if the fuse for the system melted it very easily was the cause of the problem but you'd just have to use process of elimination and check out the whole system to figure out where the problem is. Good luck with it though...
