Default Modding bug has bitten.

Well after keeping my car totally stock for a little over 2 months, I can`t take it anymore. I find myself wanting to change certain things more and more every day. So here`s what I plan on doing:

Clear corner lights. I have a question though; would I only replace the side markers? Or the actually corner light itself on the headlight? Also, I checked on clearcorners.com but couldn`t find the pricing for just the pair of clear side markers, how much should I expect to pay?

As for rims, I really like the Volk Racing LE37T 18" wheels with the gunmetal finish. I went to one of the sponsor`s websites on this site [350zonlinestore.com] and sent out a price request.. i`m awaiting a response, but again how much should I expect to pay?

The only other things I really want to do is an exhaust [I still need to hear clips of each before I decide], and a JWT popcharger, along with maybe some sideskirts in the future.

Thanks in advance for any help

I think www.mynismo.com has the prices listed. Not sure about a tire combo but you could easily PM jason and he could answer that for you.

his AIM is PerformanceNISMO and I believe his my350z name is also that, but I could be wrong.

I got clear sidemarkers on mine, the ones that don't light up. I was originally going to buy them from courtest nissan but found them on ebay for much cheaper.

Well see I dont know any of the prices yet.. I`m thinking a window tint, the volk rims, and the clear side markers for sure. Does anyone know about how much that would sum up to?

My guess is the Volks with tires will run you from 3-4K BTW if you do wheels don't go smaller then 19s

3-4 k.. heh that`s quite the chunk of change there.. I guess I gotta decide if the rims are a neccessity.

As for the clear corners.. they`re about 18ish + shipping on ebay, and 48 at performance nissan

Why do you need volks? they are some of the best rims you can buy! and just in cause you havnt noticed... you pay for it.

I paid $2400 for my 19s with tires SHIPPED. However I have Axis.
I believe you can get some 19" ARDs in the 2000-2200range with tires.

Volks will always = $$$$$$$$$$$

they are stronger, lighter, and look in most cases better then anything else out there. but once again youll pay for it.

for wheel/tires, contact Chris at F1 Motorsport. You will have the best price and your wheel/tires will come as promise.

um 3-4k is for volks only. Maybe you should look around and find rims with volk quality without the volk price gouging. Ive seen volks and they are nice but not an extra 2k nice

LOL

I might be bias but the best order of mod is:
1. Tint
2. popcharger(intake)
3. exhaust

Next year I will work on getting a body kit and if I have enough money left over, I will get new rims, not sure if I want to stick with my 18"s or go to 19"s...

I heard 19"s are not good performance wise... But I definately will go 245 in the front and 275 in the rear. I think you need to do some fender shaving if you want to do 285 in the rear.

Axis 19" only $1200. Then another 1K for tires, it is within your budget.

thanks everyone for all the help/suggestions. I hope to spend no more than 12-14 hundred on rims.. Question with the volks, is it possible to only buy the rim and put them on the tires I already have? I figure that might throw em close to my price range. And as for tint, that`ll probably come soon after I start ordering/installing.

The mod. bug sucks b/c he eats your wallet. It starts with one thing....

Axis make some quality wheels at good prices. Not super light though. The president has posted on this site to defend the batch of cracked Hiros. Stand-up company hands down.

you could buy wheel sizes that will fit your stock tires, but most people go wider for better traction and more aggressive look.
once you decide on which wheels you want, pm as many vendors as you can to find the best price. avoid vendors with negative posts/feedback on this site.
no way you can buy volks for 12-14 new. maybe used.

They will run $500+ per wheel. It makes no sense to buy a nice wide, light aftermarket wheel and try to stretch the skinny stock tires on there. Check out AZ350Z.com for more info on wheels that fit your budget and some local places you can check them out. Another option is to buy used. I got a flawless set of 19" TE37's with tires (about 5k miles left on them) for $2100 shipped from the private classifieds here.

I have the Milanos and they are holding up fine. Axis makes a good wheel, but they did have some problems with a set of the Hiros, as explained above. I personally like the look of the Milanos better, but I have to admit they are some heavy suckers.

Action Jackson....please read the posts on the cracked Hiros in these forums. It is perfectly explained why 100 wheels cracked....by their president no less. They are for sure mid-quality wheels. Not top end, but not bottom end and look better on the Z than most wheels out there.
