Question Need to see one first

For those of us who weren't trusting enough to pre-order this car without seeing it first, when can we expect dealers to actually have one in the showroom, so we can sit in it, test-drive it, and do all that normal car-shopping stuff???

If you are lucky, it might not take that long as I am sure some dealers will have cars from pre-order backouts to demo, but I would guess a test drive may be limited if not out of the question. I think most ppl will wish they had pre-ordered once they see the car in real life. It is almost a whole new car in person. You really get a sense of the size and how all the lines work together when you can walk around it and take it all in at once. I was floored the first time I saw it in person, expected it to look smaller. The stance is pretty aggressive and mean IMHO in person.

If few ppl don't back out then you may be looking at a couple months to really put one through the hoops at a dealer. Prolly have better luck hitting up a proud owner to "show off" the car to you.

i dont know how true this is, but the owner of pacific nissan in san diego said that he ordered the first Z for test driving so that he could recruit new buyers.

November maybe?? They plan on filling all pre-orders by then I think so dealer stock would start coming in nov/dec. Best thing to do is call local dealers and find out if they plan on having any showroom cars immediately after they get all pre-orders. Maybe they can call you if they have a Z sitting. I'm sure they'd work with you if they knew they might get a sale.

it all depends on how many people will get stun by the car when they see it on the road and rush to the dealer to buy one without test drive one.
